Position Summary

We are looking for a
Release & Production Lead
based in
Belgrade
to take full responsibility for the release cycle of our platform.

This is a
hands-on, on-site role
requiring both technical understanding and strong character. You will work closely with developers and operations teams to plan, validate, and execute releases across multiple environments.

A key part of the role will be to
build what is still missing
and defining the release framework, structuring environment management, and creating all required documentation. Today, the foundation is still being established, and you will play a central role in shaping it.

This position requires someone capable of
standing firm under pressure
. Developers will often want to move fast and push new releases; your job will be to evaluate, argue, and decide based on quality, stability, and readiness. You must be able to justify your decisions clearly, defend them, and ensure that the right standards are respected.

Main Responsibilities


• Plan, coordinate, and supervise release activities across environments


• Define and implement missing processes, standards, and tools for release management


• Create and maintain complete documentation for environment and deployment procedures


• Ensure readiness and quality compliance before production deployments


• Manage versioning, configuration, and rollback procedures


• Work with development and infrastructure teams to secure controlled, reliable releases


• Maintain visibility on environment status and configuration history


• Serve as the final authority for release approvals, based on objective readiness criteria

Required Skills and Experience


• Proven experience in release management, DevOps, or production engineering


• Solid understanding of distributed architectures and cloud environments (Azure experience is a plus)


• Hands-on technical mindset, able to read logs and assess issues independently


• Strong communication and reasoning skills — able to stand your ground and explain decisions clearly


• Organized, rigorous, and able to work under pressure with a calm and structured approach


• Fluent in English


• Must be based in Belgrade and available to work on-site
