About the Role
This is a commercially focused role suited to someone who is smart, driven, and ready to build a career in international sales. You don't need to come from an aviation or lighting background—we'll teach you what you need to know. What matters is your ability to learn quickly, communicate clearly and take ownership of your work.
You'll work closely with colleagues across technical, commercial and marketing teams to support bids, engage clients and manage the sales process from first contact through to contract close. Over time, you'll develop the knowledge and confidence to lead international sales opportunities yourself. The role involves global travel, regular contact with senior stakeholders, and significant scope for growth within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the global aviation sales strategy, driving growth in line with Midstream's commercial goals.
- Manage the full aviation sales pipeline, ensuring deals progress from lead to close.
- Pursue new opportunities, including airport upgrades, new builds, and military projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airport operators, consultants, contractors and partners.
- Lead bids and tenders with support from the Bid Coordinator, ensuring timely, commercially sound submissions.
- Negotiate contracts aligned with Midstream's objectives.
- Coordinate with technical, operations and finance teams to build deliverable proposals. Align
- Align pricing strategy with market conditions in collaboration with the Commercial Director.
- Track market trends, competitor activity and regulatory developments.
- Maintain HubSpot CRM with accurate data and forecasts.
- Represent Midstream at international events and meetings.
- Provide regular reporting and pipeline analysis to the Commercial Director.
- Offer mentorship and support to junior colleagues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with legal, commercial and export regulations
- Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns and develop sector content.
- Travel internationally to engage with clients and support project discussions.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required (any discipline)
- 1–3 years' experience in a commercial, client-facing or project-focused role
- Experience with CRM tools and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Willing and able to travel internationally
- Interest in long-term growth within a technical commercial role
