We are looking for:
Software Field Application Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently handle software and hardware support customer tasks for 2G/3G/4G/5G/ MmWave/CAT-M/NB-IoT/GNSS/Wi-Fi modules.
  • Independently debug hardware bring-up issues — missing drivers, bootloader misconfigurations, or kernel panics.
  • Independently perform full system validation of modules, including LTE/5G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, USB, display, audio, and sensors.
  • Independetly lead customer integration of Linux- and RTOS-based embedded platforms into their designs.
  • Independently reproduce and analyze software, kernel, or RTOS-related issues in a lab environment.
  • Support testing and validation of device drivers, middleware, and communication stacks (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, TCP/IP).
  • Independently provide end-to-end technical support — from initial SDK setup to production validation.
  • Develop automated or repeatable test procedures for internal or customer use.
  • Able to provide on-site support, including onsite issue-solving and organizing communication with internal and external departments.
  • Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions for customers, distributors, or internal staff.
  • Create and maintain application notes, test reports, and support documentation. Track and report field issues, trends, and customer feedback.
  • Mentor junior engineers (P1-P2) and share expert knowledge on module issues with the team.
  • Partner closely with the sales, product management, and engineering teams to support customer projects and communicate market needs.
  • Other tasks as required by the chain of reporting and business needs based on the similar task level.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Computer Science.
  • 3–5 years of experience in embedded software development, Linux/RTOS system integration, or firmware debugging.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of hardware interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO) and networking protocols (TCP/IP, MQTT).
  • Proficiency in using debugging tools: GDB, minicom, dmesg, strace, and logic analyzers.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and multimeters.
  • Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics and understand signal flow.
  • Proven track record of hands-on debugging, driver development, or kernel customization.
  • Understanding of software version control (Git) and issue tracking (Jira).
  • Fluent in English.
