Job Title: Actuary
Location: London, United Kingdom (In-Person)
Start Date: December 2025
Company: AM Specialty Insurance Company
Job Description
The Actuary will support pricing, reserving, and portfolio management activities across AM Specialty's international operations, spanning both U.K. and U.S. entities. The role will focus on advancing technical pricing capability, supporting product development, and providing actuarial insight to inform strategic decision-making across multiple lines of business.
Working in close partnership with underwriting, finance, and data analytics teams, the Actuary will help ensure a disciplined and analytical approach to pricing, capital deployment, and risk management — in alignment with regulatory standards set by the FCA and PRA, and consistent with the Group's broader governance framework.
This position offers a unique opportunity for a qualified actuary with a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience to contribute to a growing specialty insurance group with an expanding international footprint. The role combines technical depth with commercial impact and provides direct exposure to senior management across multiple jurisdictions.
Who We Are
AM Specialty Insurance Group is a privately held, international specialty (re)insurance platform with offices in Dallas, TX, New York, NY and London, UK. The Group underwrites a diversified portfolio of Property, Casualty, and Specialty business through its U.S. carrier, AM Specialty Insurance Company, and its Managing General Agent, PinPoint Insurance Solutions.
The Group's strategy is centred on disciplined underwriting, data-driven decision-making, and operational excellence across both regulated and delegated authority platforms. Supported by advanced analytics and proprietary technology, AM Specialty delivers tailored solutions across niche commercial segments within the E&S and specialty markets. The London office represents a key component of the Group's international growth, serving as the base for its expanding actuarial, underwriting, and risk management capabilities.
This role provides a rare opportunity to join an international organisation at an exciting phase of expansion — contributing to the actuarial, analytical, and governance foundations that will underpin the Group's continued growth and cross-border integration.
