Yarnhub is an animation studio specializing in short films about remarkable people and the events that shaped history. Our stories reach more than 30 million monthly viewers across the USA, Canada, the UK, Japan, Australia, and beyond.

If you're a Senior 3D Generalist with a strong grasp of both character and vehicle animation, passionate about cinematic storytelling, and excited to work in Unreal Engine, this position is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Create 3D character and vehicle animations (planes, tanks, ships) using Unreal Engine's Sequencer, Control Rig, and Metahuman Animator.
  • Deliver realistic body and facial animation using both keyframe and motion capture workflows.
  • Implement and refine animation data to fit the cinematic tone and style of Yarnhub productions.
  • Stay up to date on Unreal Engine animation tools and industry trends.
  • Provide feedback and mentoring to junior team members when needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in 3D animation (covering both character and mechanical animation).
  • Solid knowledge of Unreal Engine animation systems (Sequencer, Control Rig, MH Animator).
  • Proficiency with keyframe and motion capture techniques.
  • Strong understanding of body mechanics, acting, and emotional expression.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, aerodynamics, and physics.
  • General understanding of Unreal Engine properties (materials, BP, lighting, environment).
  • Good English skills (B2 or higher).
  • Willingness to complete a short test task.
