About the team:

Risk Insurance Suite, our product, is a leading risk management platform, in use by the Insurance Companies around the world for modeling their products. 

Risk Insurance Suite is delivered on prem, in customer cloud and we are working on SaaS implementation. SaaS is the new greenfield product with a cutting-edge CI/CD pipeline â system with a single web interface and microservices run in Docker and Kubernetes containers on Cloud. As part of this team, you will closely cooperate with business and technical experts in this field, with an opportunity to grow and advance your knowledge with up-to-date IT industries concepts and technologies.

What you will be doing:

• Work closely with the Engineering Management, Engineering teams, Product Owners, Services and Operations teams to architect, design and develop high quality solutions in alignment with business and technical strategies.

• End-to-end software architecture, design and development of complex, distributed, high performance computing system.

• Actively participate in cloud transformation journey with development team, internal and external partners (AWS.)

• Provides expertise to global development team, coaching and mentoring software engineers to have a positive impact on product development, providing guidance at the design and code level to support engineers.

• Design and develop new software or make modifications to existing complex software applications using disciplined processes, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

• Take part in reviews of work, e.g. design and code reviews, and demonstrate software to all stakeholders.

• Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to other team members within areas of expertise.

• Contribute to owning and delivering processes that drive engineering quality and meet our engineering SLAs.

What you bring:

• Advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer/Information Sciences or Mathematics as well as 10 years plus of related work experience.

• Ability to architect, design and deliver software that can scale elastically on the cloud.

• Expert knowledge of Object Orient Patterns and Design, data structures and algorithms, parallel and distributed computing, SoA and multi-tier architectures

• Understands testing at every stage of development.

• Experience with modern application architecture and development (REST, microservices)

• Familiar with DevOps toolchain and CI/CD pipelines (BitBucket, Ansible, Jenkins)

• Understanding and application of networking and security

• Strong logical and analytical skills, with the ability to creatively troubleshoot and resolve challenging problems

• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to effectively express ideas, engage in complex discussions and collaborate with a wide range of colleagues. Ability to communicate with precision while being concise.

• Proactive, delivery-oriented team player who takes responsibility for the teamâs success

Added bonus if you have:

• Expert development experience throughout the SDLC using Microsoft .Net/C#

• Experience with AWS Services

• Demonstrated expertise performance tuning applications from top to bottom, including profiling of applications.

• Knowledge of Snowflake or experience with distributed databases
