Responsibilities

  • Code and design new applications based on detailed business and user requirements specifications.
  • Lead the design and create documentation of solutions.
  • High-level architecture and analysis.
  • Troubleshoot and make changes to prevent recurrence by modifying existing code and faulty files and writing and running special programs.
  • Document new applications or the changes made to existing applications.
  • Participate in unit, integration, and business acceptance testing of the applications.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure compliance with standards and quality.
  • Troubleshoot application and system issues.
  • Do whatever is necessary to get to your team's definition of done.
  • Research, experiment and recommend emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in computer science, computer engineering or related field and 4+ years of hands-on experience
  • 4+ years of Web Service development.
  • Strong experience with RESTful APIs.
  • 2+ years of experience with Python, Django or similar web frameworks.
  • 2+ years of experience with relational databases (expertise in relational database concepts).
  • 2+ years of experience with Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • 2+ years of experience building automated unit tests.
  • Some experience with front-end frameworks is a plus (React, Angular).
  • Strong understanding of unit testing concepts and frameworks.
  • Ability to be self-directed.
  • Experience in an Agile environment.
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Be a student of technology with a passion for researching and experimenting with new technology.
