As a
Senior Software Engineer,
you'll be responsible for ensuring the platform is finely tuned to manage complex product data, maintain consistency, and deliver enhanced product listings across our marketplace. You'll be customizing PHP-based solutions, managing high data volumes, and collaborating closely with backend engineers and product managers to ensure accurate and scalable product information delivery.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create, configure, and enhance Pimcore-based solutions to manage product information, pricing, images, and associated metadata.
  • Customize and wrap Pimcore's functionality with PHP to meet Ananas' unique business requirements.
  • Implement robust data structures and ensure seamless integration with other microservices, facilitating smooth and consistent data flow.
  • Monitor and fine-tune backend performance, managing high data volumes, minimizing latency, and ensuring uptime and data accuracy.
  • Work closely with backend engineers and product managers to ensure all product information is accurately represented and delivered in the marketplace.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of backend processes and ensure clean, maintainable code with a focus on scalability.

Essential skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend, PHP-based development
  • Proficiency in PHP, with experience in object-oriented programming
  • Experience with data structures, RESTful APIs, and data integration tools
  • Strong background in building, customizing, and scaling data-intensive applications
  • Familiarity with Symfony or other modern PHP frameworks
  • Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL or other relational databases
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
  • Collaborative mindset and a passion for improving online shopping experiences
  • Fluency in English
