We are now looking for a dedicated and hands-on HR Generalist to join our team at Belgrade Airport — a professional who can combine organizational skills, reliability, and a genuine people-oriented mindset to support our station's daily HR operations.
Your MissionIn this role, you'll act as the main HR point of contact for the station, ensuring smooth and compliant HR operations while promoting a positive work environment.
You'll be responsible for:
- Managing the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, contracts, attendance, and offboarding
- Coordinating and supporting payroll processes in collaboration with an external consultant (data collection, time records, overtime, and leave management)
- Providing day-to-day guidance and support to employees and supervisors on HR policies, labor law matters, and disciplinary procedures, in close collaboration with the Airport Manager
- Handling HR administration and maintaining accurate employee records in full compliance with GDPR
- Coordinating the issuance and renewal of Airport ID cards, ensuring adherence to airport security procedures
- Overseeing the distribution of staff uniforms and ensuring compliance with company dress code standards
- Organizing and tracking training programs and regulatory certifications
- Liaising with the HSE partner company and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and fire protection requirements, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date HSE documentation, training records, certifications, permits, audits, and compliance files
- Supporting initiatives that enhance employee engagement, well-being, and workplace culture
- Preparing HR reports and KPIs (headcount, turnover, absences, etc.) for management
- Acting as a trusted partner to station management and a liaison with the Central HR Department
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in HR roles, ideally in aviation, logistics, or a fast-paced operational environment
- Excellent command of Serbian and English (spoken & written)
- Strong knowledge of labor law, HR policies, and administrative processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach
- High attention to detail, discretion, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with HRIS systems will be considered an asset
- Familiarity with airport or regulated operational environments is a strong plus
