The Controller & Business Partner Poland supports the local Managing Director and management team by providing financial transparency, operational insights, and robust financial control. The role bridges financial and management accounting, ensuring accurate reporting and supporting business decisions that drive growth and profitability.

Your tasks

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Managing Director and leadership team with financial analyses and insights for decision-making.
  • Prepare business cases and evaluate scenarios for key commercial and operational initiatives.
  • Contribute to performance discussions by highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate accrual and cost accounting, including correct project cost allocation and revenue recognition (POC method).
  • Manage monthly closing activities in coordination with the local accounting team.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for both local management and the Kardex Group.
  • Coordinate the local forecasting and budgeting process.
  • Analyze deviations between actuals, budget, and forecasts, and explain key business drivers.
  • Contribute to the development of business plans in alignment with regional objectives.
  • Support compliance with international accounting standards (primary ledger) and local statutory/tax regulations (secondary ledger).
  • Collaborate with tax advisors and payroll providers to ensure ongoing compliance and accuracy.
  • Actively contribute to the Regional Europe East Finance Community by sharing knowledge and supporting cross-country initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team and provide support in developing financial processes.

Your profile:

  • min. 3 years of experience in controlling or financial analysis, preferably within a technical sales or industrial environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA), reporting tools (COGNOS or similar), and strong Excel & PowerBI skills.
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Preferably an accounting certification (e.g. CIMA, CMA, ACCA, CA).
  • Fluent in English (C1 level preferred).
