About the Role

We are seeking a skilled
Information Security Engineer
to join our team in Belgrade. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in information security practices along with
basic coding experience in languages such as Java, C++, Python, etc.
This role requires a proactive professional who can design, implement, and monitor security measures to protect our systems, networks, and data, while also contributing to secure software development and vulnerability remediation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain security controls, tools, and processes to safeguard IT infrastructure and applications.
  • Monitor systems for security incidents, anomalies, and vulnerabilities; respond to and remediate threats.
  • Assist in the design and review of secure coding practices for internal applications.
  • Support security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans, and help resolve identified issues.
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2–4 years of experience in information security engineering, security operations, or related role.
  • Basic coding knowledge in
    Java, C++, Python
    (ability to read, write, and debug simple scripts).
  • Understanding of common security frameworks and practices (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, OWASP).
  • Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM solutions.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipeline security).
  • Experience with scripting for automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, etc.) are a plus.

Work Mode

  • Hybrid:
    2–3 days per week in the Belgrade office; remaining days remote.
  • Flexible working hours with occasional requirements for off-hours incident response.
