JOB TITLE: Paralegal I

REPORTS TO: Corporate Governance Manager
JOB SUMMARYThis entry-level position supports assigned legal functions and entities on the administration and execution of our corporate documents. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization and sound reasoning skills as well as the ability to interface with a number of internal constituents.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Provides logistical and organizational support to the assigned Legal team.
- Provides pragmatic day-to-day support to the assigned Legal team.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
- Assist Legal Department in managing subsidiaries and actions of various legal entities regarding corporate governance matters
- Maintain corporate record books
- Assists with some legal issues including corporate and general legal matters.
- Coordinates notarization and legalization of documents.
- Performs administrative support in preparing and distributing various memos and reports related to attorney projects.
- Updates and maintains the legal corporate database as needed, providing support to the different Legal team members and uploading relevant documents, as directed.
- Drafts, prepares and assists with execution of routine PoAs for affiliates.
- Interface with other departments as required to support corporate governance matters.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience in either a law firm or in-house legal department
- Ability to work within a matrixed environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable with technology, including e-signature platforms and electronic document management
- Ability to manage projects in fast-paced environment
- Has a positive client-service mindset
- Solid interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and take a business-oriented approach
- Possesses analytical skills, good judgment, a desire to learn, and an ability to take on projects and has a can-do attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) email and voice mail; and familiarity with legal research tools
