On behalf of our client, we are looking for Senior Backend developer:

Level: medior/senior

Type of employment: full time

Location: Novi Sad, Serbia

Model of work: hybrid (2 days/week from home). Flexible work time (core time from 9 to 15)

You will join the eMobility Sector team, which develops and commissions software solutions for next-generation safety controllers used in electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Key Job Responsibilities: 

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based backend services for our eMobility portal
• Implementing APIs and integrating third-party services using Microsoft Azure technologies (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure SQL, etc.)
• Collaborating closely with frontend, mobile, and UI/UX teams to align on architecture and product goals
• Contributing to solution design, code architecture, and technical documentation
• Applying best practices in clean code, secure coding, and software performance optimization
• Participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and daily standups
• Ensuring the reliability and maintainability of backend systems through automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
• Monitoring and debugging backend services to ensure high availability and performance
• Optionally contributing to full-stack development, depending on your interests and team needs
• Supporting the development of new projects and services as they arise within the company

 
If you are someone who has this set of skills:   

• 5+ years of experience in professional back-end development
• Strong expertise in Java, K8s, Spring and databases (SQL, MongoDb, Redis), backed by over 5 years of professional experience
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure technologies such as Azure Functions, Azure Data Explorer, Azure Service Bus and Azure Event Hubs
• Experience with GitLab, CI/CD, IaaC and Docker
• Experience with Agile software development, especially with SCRUM
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills applicable to complex systems
• Self-motivated team player with a sense of responsibility and ability to work under limited supervision
• University degree (BSc or higher) in the field of Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
• Excellent English, written and verbal communication skills
