About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced
Senior DevOps Engineer
with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure to join their team in Serbia on a
hybrid working basis
. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, and has a proven track record of designing and delivering robust, scalable cloud solutions.

You will play a senior role in shaping infrastructure strategy, driving automation, and ensuring secure and reliable deployment pipelines, while also mentoring junior engineers and contributing to best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain
    Azure cloud infrastructure
    across multiple environments.
  • Develop and manage
    CI/CD pipelines
    to streamline application delivery.
  • Implement
    infrastructure as code
    using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  • Support containerisation and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
  • Drive monitoring, observability, and performance optimisation (Azure Monitor, Application Insights).
  • Ensure compliance, governance, and security standards are met across environments.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering and operations teams to support delivery goals.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex DevOps issues and provide mentorship within the team.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Expert knowledge of
    Azure services
    (compute, storage, networking, identity, security).
  • Strong background in
    CI/CD tooling
    (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Hands-on expertise with
    Terraform / ARM / Bicep
    for infrastructure as code.
  • Containerisation and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in hybrid teams.
  • Based in Serbia with flexibility to work both on-site and remotely.
