In partnership with a leading global company in the flooring, sports surfaces, and related solutions industry, we are supporting the expansion of their SAP Center of Excellence team.

We are looking for a
Transport EDI Consultant
to join the organization on a permanent basis.

This role plays a key part in maintaining and improving electronic data interchange (EDI) processes with transport and logistics partners, ensuring seamless and reliable information flow between SAP and external systems that support daily distribution and delivery operations.

Scope of Work:

The consultant will operate within a single global SAP instance, supporting logistics and transport processes across European sales and distribution organizations. The primary focus is on EDI message management—including monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving communication with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers. The role requires close collaboration with SAP SD and MM teams, business key users, and external EDI partners to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:


• Monitor and resolve EDI-related incidents and service requests related to transport and delivery processes.


• Analyze message flow and data consistency between SAP and external transport partners.


• Manage onboarding and testing of new EDI connections or message types.


• Cooperate with internal SAP and business teams to optimize EDI workflows and document-related procedures.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives for transport and delivery integration.

Skills and Experience:


• Strong understanding of SAP logistics processes (shipping, deliveries, goods issue, transport documents).


• Proven experience with EDI operations (IDoc monitoring, message types such as ORDERS, DESADV, INVOIC, SHPMNT, partner profiles).


• Basic ABAP skills.


• Ability to interpret message structures, identify mapping errors, and coordinate issue resolution with external partners.


• Excellent analytical and communication skills; structured and collaborative approach to problem-solving.


• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
