You will join a growing data team that includes a data manager, platform engineers, analytics engineers, and other specialists. The company is in the process of reshaping its data organization, defining a clear data strategy, and building a secure, scalable cloud foundation. The team's mission is to improve operations and create measurable business value through smarter use of data and cloud technologies.

About the role

As Cloud Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain the Azure-based infrastructure that powers the company's data platform and digital services. You will apply your expertise in cloud architecture, automation, and security to scale the environment, ensure reliability, and optimize performance. Working closely with data and platform engineers, you will develop infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring frameworks. You will report directly to the Group Data Manager.

Tasks and responsibilities

1. Build and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-efficient Azure infrastructure supporting data and digital workloads.
2. Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code using Azure DevOps, Bicep, or Terraform.
3. Monitor and optimize performance, availability, and costs across the cloud environment.
4. Implement governance for security, identity, and access management in line with internal policies.
5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align cloud architecture with business and technical goals.

Required skills and experience

Must have

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and core services such as ADF, Synapse, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor

• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Bicep, Terraform, ARM templates)

• Experience with CI/CD automation using Azure DevOps or GitHub

• Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and identity management

• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python

• Familiarity with Azure Cloud Adoption Framework

• Understanding of observability and ensuring service availability

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes

• Knowledge of data tools such as Databricks, Fabric, or APIs

• Experience working in agile teams

• Background in manufacturing or ERP environments
