Key Responsibilities:
• Network Support & Maintenance: Support the configuration, management, and monitoring of Cisco networking equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls, to maintain a stable and efficient network environment.
• Wireless Network Support: Assist in the deployment and management of Wi-Fi networks, ensuring consistent connectivity and troubleshooting wireless issues as needed.
• Operational Monitoring: Monitor network systems for performance, reliability, and security, using appropriate tools to identify and address potential issues proactively.
• Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve network-related issues, escalating complex problems as needed and documenting solutions for future reference.
• Systems Support: Provide basic administration of Linux and Windows systems in relation to network services (DNS, DHCP, VPN), working closely with system administrators.
• Network Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and procedures to support operational continuity and compliance.
• Security Awareness: Assist with implementing and maintaining network security measures (ACLs, firewalls, VPNs), under the guidance of senior network engineers.
Candidate Requirements:
• Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or IT support roles, working with Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) and wireless networks.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches and routers. Basic understanding of firewall configurations and Wi-Fi network management.
• Operating Systems: Working knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, particularly in configuring and troubleshooting network services.
• Network Protocols: Familiarity with core network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and basic knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
• Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve common network issues, with experience using network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, PRTG, Zabbix).
• Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with senior engineers and other IT teams.
Nice to have:
• Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.
• Cloud Networking Experience: Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and basic understanding of cloud networking concepts Benefits:
