AWS Cloud Engineer

Your mission

Responsibilities
As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development, deployment, and optimization of Cloud infrastructures on AWS. With our expanding operations in the AWS Cloud, we are seeking someone who can not only manage and enhance existing Cloud systems but also contribute to the development of new features and functionalities. This position is closely connected to architecting robust systems, automating workflows, and ensuring optimal performance and security while providing expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from conception to execution. Main responsibilities of this position include:

• Deployment & Optimization of Cloud-Native Applications:

• While ensuring they meet performance and scalability requirements within the AWS environment.

• Development and Extension of Small Scope Functionality Code:

• Using serverless technologies such as Lambdas and containers, ensuring efficient and reliable execution within the AWS ecosystems

• Automation and Infrastructure as Code:

• To streamline the deployment and management of AWS infrastructure, optimizing for scalability, reliability, and efficiency.

• Creation and Maintenance of Reliable CI/CD Workflows:

• To automate the build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring efficient and consistent delivery of software updates.

• Deployment, Automation, and Management of AWS Cloud-Based Systems:

• Focusing on ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and security of the systems following best practices.

• Analyzing and Optimizing Existing AWS Workloads:

• Identify opportunities for optimization, such as cost reduction, performance improvements, and resource efficiency enhancements.

• Performing Security Audits and Performance Tests:

• To identify vulnerabilities, optimize configurations, and ensure compliance with security standards.

• Collaborating with Partners/Clients on Several Projects:

• Providing technical expertise, guidance, and support throughout the project cycle to ensure the successful implementation and operation of AWS solutions tailored to their specific needs.

Your profile

• Fluency in German and English language
• DevOps Mindset
• Advanced experience in building and deploying AWS Cloud solutions
• Advanced experience with the command line (Linux)
• Advanced knowledge in building and deploying microservices leveraging serverless computing
• Advanced knowledge of templated Infrastructure Provisioning (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Open Tofu)
• Good knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java, Javascript, Typescript, etc.) and scripting (Bash, Powershell, etc.)
• Good experience in designing and developing CI/CD environments (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.)
• Good experience with containerization tools/registries (Docker, ECR) and container orchestration tools (EKS/Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate)
• Good experience in operating, monitoring and troubleshooting complex applications, ideally knowledge of relevant tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Amazon CloudWatch, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of deployment strategies (A/B, Blue/Green)
