Role Summary
Join our dynamic team as a HIL Automation Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge automotive software solutions. Leverage your experience to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, automate processes, and manage advanced Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) platforms. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to the refinement of QA processes, and drive the automation of test cases. Responsibilities

• Create test plans, cases, and documents from embedded software requirements
• Manage, upgrade and optimize HiL platforms for comprehensive automated testing by improving performance and efficiency
• Execute regression tests within the automated environment on a daily basis
• Drive automation for test cases and establish and refine HiL testing processes and automated pipelines
• Develop and enhance test automation frameworks and scripts
• Contribute to efficient CI/CD pipeline development
• Collaborate with software and remote HIL engineering teams, focusing on lab-based bench tests during feature development and validation
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve support/field issues effectively and track bugs, ensuring complete verification and closure
• Provide timely status updates, aiding release readiness decisions
• Develop and maintain HiL testing frameworks, ensuring scalability and reliability

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Embedded/Platform Software testing experience
• Expertise in scripting and programming, especially Python (C/C++ is a plus)
• Knowledge in Linux or QNX environments with Shell Scripting
• Knowledge of Socket Programming, TCP/IP, and HTTP
• Experience in testing automotive ECUs and protocols like CAN and Ethernet
• Board-level testing proficiency
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins
• Self-motivated with cross-functional collaboration skills
• Excellent communication, testing, and troubleshooting abilities
• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
