We are seeking an experienced
Cloud Platform Engineer
to design, operate and manage our on-premises cloud platform. Ideal candidate is a cloud-savvy professional with hands-on experience in OpenStack, Kubernetes, and the broader cloud-native ecosystem. This role offers a unique opportunity for a motivated candidate to take part in the early design and deployment of a resilient, scalable, and secure private cloud environment that supports our internal teams and services.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, operate and manage cloud infrastructure using
  OpenStack
  ,
  Kubernetes
  ,
  Ceph
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools Terraform, Ansible, Heat
• Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to ensure seamless CI/CD pipelines and secure cloud environments.
• Operate and Manage observability stack, monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources for cost and efficiency.
• Design and implement integrations between cloud platform, internal systems, and third-party services to ensure seamless interoperability and data flow
• Take care about platform high availability and robustness
• Automate operational processes and support disaster recovery and backup strategies.
• Drive end-to-end lifecycle management of cloud platforms to ensure stability, scalability, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop cloud service
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Stay current with cloud industry trends and emerging technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Required qualifications:

• Experience with OpenStack: Proven track record in deploying, configuring, and managing OpenStack environments in production.
• Kubernetes expertise: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes architecture, deployment, and operations
• Ceph expertise: Hands-on experience in design (resilience and flexibility) and management
• Cloud architecture knowledge: Understanding of cloud-native principles, virtualization (KVM), networking (SDN/OVN and CNI) and network segregation and storage concepts in cloud environments (OpenStack, AWS, Azure)
• Linux system administration: Advanced proficiency in Linux (preferably Ubuntu/RHEL/CentOS) and shell scripting.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Primary experience with Terraform, Ansible, Heat for automating infrastructure provisioning.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices: Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines, GitOps, and related tooling.
• Monitoring and observability: Knowledge in Prometheus, Grafana (Loki), ELK stack, or similar.
• Security: Understanding of cloud security and compliance standards (ISO27001, NIST)
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting: Analytical skills to diagnose, resolve infrastructure issues.

Preffered qualification:

• Experience with Canonical products (Charmed OpenStack and Kubernetes, MAAS, Juju)
• Familiarity with Rancher and Rancher Kubernetes Engine
• OpenStack and/or Kubernetes certifications
