At its heart, this is a hands-on development role for a seasoned engineer ready to tackle complex challenges. You will be deep in the codebase, taking ownership of critical backend components and shipping high-quality, impactful code.

You will work in close collaboration with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, where your success will be measured not just by your individual code contributions, but by your ability to help the team make sound architectural decisions and elevate our collective standard of work.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain backend features using Symfony.
• Develop and document secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
• Own features end-to-end from architecture to deployment and post launch support.
• Design and optimize MySQL schemas and queries.
• Lead and mentor other developers, ensuring high code quality.
• Collaborate on building flexible filtering systems and other category-based features.
• Participate in technical discussions and guide architectural decisions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of PHP development experience.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Symfony (Doctrine, Messenger, Twig).
• Experience leading or mentoring developers.
• Proven ability to build features from concept to production.
• Strong SQL/MySQL skills, including query optimization.
• Solid understanding of testing (PHPUnit) and code quality tools.
• Comfortable with Linux CLI.
• Basic Docker usage (e.g., docker-compose up), no advanced orchestration required.
• English B2 or higher.

Nice to Have

• Experience building category-based systems and flexible filters.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Sentry, Kibana, Grafana).
