Role Overview

Join our product-centric engineering team building standalone Rust applications for Linux. You'll own projects from architecture through deployment. We focus on impactful, mission-critical solutions—think Apple-style product teams, where engineering decisions are driven directly by product priorities rather than external management or "Scrum Masters."

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and optimize Rust code in a Linux environment, interfacing with Linux-specific services (systemd, network configurations, file systems, etc.).
  • Integrate a lightweight UI layer using egui to provide essential front-end functionality.
  • Implement and maintain gRPC-based communication with backend services.
  • Diagnose and fix performance bottlenecks in real-world, mission-critical deployments.
  • Work autonomously with minimal oversight, delivering results aligned with product milestones.

What We're Looking For

  • Depth and Breadth of Experience
    : Ideally 5+ years in software development, including hands-on Rust exposure (C++ is a viable alternative). We value diverse technical backgrounds—such as gaming, finance, blockchain, open-source contributions—as they demonstrate adaptability.
  • Product-Minded Mentality
    : Comfort shaping end-to-end solutions with a cross-functional product team. The ability to independently manage priorities, timelines, and deliverables is crucial.
  • Strong Linux Knowledge
    : Solid understanding of OS fundamentals, concurrency, and debugging on Linux.
  • Ownership & Initiative
    : Experience working on code that is integral to a company's core product, where uptime, security, and performance truly matter.
  • Communication
    : Ability to clearly communicate ideas in both written and spoken English and Serbian, in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with advanced Linux kernel features, networking protocols, or embedded systems.
  • Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
