About the Role:

The Host/Hostess plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests at our establishment. This position is responsible for managing the flow of guests, ensuring that they are seated promptly and comfortably while maintaining a positive dining experience. The Host/Hostess will also handle reservations and manage waitlists, providing excellent customer service at all times. Additionally, this role involves communicating effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth operations. Ultimately, the Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their overall experience at our restaurant.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with reservation management systems.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service.
  • Bilingual abilities to cater to a diverse clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
  • Manage reservations and waitlists, efficiently seating guests based on availability and preferences.
  • Communicate with the kitchen and wait staff to coordinate guest seating and special requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess area, including menus and waiting areas.
  • Provide information about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies to guests as needed.
