Job Description

We're seeking a seasoned software engineer to help us craft, expand, and continuously refine our microservices architecture. As a Backend Developer within our cross-functional team, you will collaborate closely with other tech & product roles to create cutting-edge solutions.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 6 years of programming experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with backend development
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Solid fundamentals in software design, architecture, and development best practices
  • Understanding of the nature of asynchronous programming
  • Experience working with databases, preferably NoSQL
  • Comfort with writing and maintaining automated tests
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities:

  1. Write clean, scalable, high-performance, and reusable code, with a strong focus on testing and maintainability
  2. Optimize applications to ensure maximum speed, efficiency, and scalability
  3. Implement and monitor application metrics and logs to ensure reliability and detect regressions early
  4. Maintain, improve, and refactor existing libraries and modules as needed
  5. Ensure backend systems follow security and compliance best practices
  6. Contribute to team knowledge sharing through code reviews, documentation, and mentorship
  7. Help define and uphold backend development best practices
  8. Evaluate and select the most effective tools and technologies to enhance daily workflows

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A strong understanding of software development principles and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Proficiency in one or more back-end frameworks
  • Knowledge of database management systems, especially NoSQL
  • Ability to write and maintain automated tests
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
