Job Overview
Wargaming is seeking a talented
Senior Build Engineer
with extended knowledge of Python and DevOps to join our Game Engine Development Team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and improving our build systems to ensure efficient and reliable compilation of our engine and game projects. You will work closely with our development and QA teams to automate workflows, reduce build times, and resolve build-related issues.

Reports to
CI/CD Team Lead

What will you do?

  • You are responsible to maintain, optimize, own the full build toolchain of our proprietary engine for various platforms (PC, Mac, consoles)
  • Analyze and build processes to identify bottlenecks and implement strategies to reduce build times and improve efficiency
  • Develop, maintain, profile and organize our CMake configuration
  • Maintain 3rdParty libraries
  • Manage compilers, linkers, and other development tools
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines using Teamcity

What are we looking for?

  • C++ skills. Deep understanding of optimizing, compiling and linking C/C++/CLI/ code
  • Deep knowledge of msbuild, clang, cmake or similar
  • Proficient in scripting languages like Python
  • Proven experience as a Build Engineer or similar role
  • Experience with analyzing compilation and linker timings

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles
  • Experience in game development
  • Experience creating CI/CD pipelines with tools such as TeamCity or Jenkins
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with cross-platform automation (macOS, Windows, Linux)
  • Experience with consoles (Xbox and PlayStation)
  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google)
  • Familiarity with digital distribution services (e.g. Steam, Microsoft Partner Center, or PlayStation Partners)

Work mode

  • Onsite // Hybrid (3-4 days of work from the office)
