About the Club:
We are a private members' rackets club offering five racket sports and a range of facilities to our 5,000 members. We are committed to enhancing member experience and ensuring the best possible use of our facilities. To support this, we are seeking a contract-based consultant to improve our data reporting and analytics capabilities.

Role Overview:
The consultant will be responsible for reviewing, improving, and developing reporting systems that provide insight into court utilisation, member usage of the club and its facilities, and other key operational metrics. The role will involve working with the club's management software products, engaging with the software providers to tailor reporting solutions, and delivering actionable insights for the executive team and the Board.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Collection & Extraction
    1. Extract, clean, and consolidate data from club management software and booking systems.
    2. Gather historical and current membership and facility usage data across all facilities (sporting as well as F&B).
  2. Data Analysis & Reporting
    1. Analyse membership trends, participation rates, peak/off-peak usage, and court utilisation.
    2. Identify patterns, growth opportunities, and capacity challenges.
    3. Create dashboards and visualisations (Power BI or similar) to present insights to management and the Board.
  3. Strategic Insights
    1. Develop recommendations on membership capacity limits, pricing models, and facility scheduling.
    2. Provide evidence-based insights to support decisions around future investments and expansion opportunities.
    3. Prepare a final written report summarising findings and recommendations.
  4. Gain a thorough understanding of the club's management software products and data structures.
  5. Liaise with the software provider to configure, customise, and improve reporting functions.
  6. Make recommendations in respect of the optimal software providers for the Club.
  7. Develop clear, accurate, and user-friendly reports on historical and current:
    - Court utilisation (by sport, time, member type, season, etc.)
      - Identify Member usage patterns across facilities and service - Other KPIs relevant to strategic planning and operational efficiency
  8. Identify data gaps and propose solutions to improve data capture and reporting.
  9. Support the club in building a foundation

Skills & Experience Required:

•    Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting roles.

•    Strong knowledge of data extraction, cleaning, and manipulation techniques

•    Strong skills in SQL, Excel, or other reporting/BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).

•    Ability to understand and work with third-party club/CRM management software.

•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into insights.

•    Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to non-technical stakeholders.

•    Experience in the leisure, hospitality, or sports sector (desirable but not essential).
