Key Responsibilities

1.
Data Analysis and Interpretation


• Understand clients' project-specific bioinformatics needs and design tailored analysis plans to address their research questions or application goals.


• Execute data processing and analysis workflows for omics datasets (e.g., genomic, transcriptomic, single-cell omics, spatial omics) with precision and efficiency.


• Collaborate closely with clients to interpret analytical results, provide detailed explanations, and offer actionable insights to support their decision-making and further research.

2.
Training and Knowledge Sharing


• Conduct internal training sessions to build and enhance the bioinformatics expertise of team members.


• Provide structured bioinformatics training programs to external clients, ensuring they understand analysis methodologies and results interpretation.

3.
Project Management and Communication


• Act as a technical lead in bioinformatics projects, supporting experimental design and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality analytical results.


• Maintain effective communication with clients and internal teams to manage expectations and address project challenges.

4.
Algorithm Development and Optimization


• Develop and optimize analysis pipelines and algorithms for high-throughput omics data, ensuring scalability and accuracy.


• Continuously improve and customize analysis platforms to meet project-specific requirements.

5.
Scientific Research and Innovation


• Stay updated with advancements in bioinformatics tools, techniques, and research trends.


• Lead or contribute to internal R&D projects to explore and apply novel bioinformatics approaches to complex biological problems.

Qualifications

1.
Education and Background


• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or a related field.

2.
Experience


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bioinformatics data analysis, preferably with experience in client-facing projects.


• Proven ability to design and execute bioinformatics workflows based on diverse project requirements.

3.
Technical Skills


• Proficient in multi-omics data analysis, with expertise in commonly used tools (e.g., BWA, GATK, STAR, DESeq2).


• Familiar with advanced techniques such as single-cell and spatial omics data analysis.


• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R, Perl, Bash) for developing and automating analysis pipelines.


• Proficient in Linux systems and high-performance computing environments.


• Experienced in utilizing cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) for large-scale data analysis.

4.
Soft Skills


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to complex analytical challenges.


• Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional language skills are an advantage.

5.
Preferred Qualifications


• A strong track record of publications in high-impact journals or extensive project management experience.


• Familiarity with machine learning or AI applications in bioinformatics.
