The Role
AMD is looking for a specialized software Technician/Technologist/ Associate Engineer who is passionate about testing and improving the performance of key applications and benchmarks. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.

The Person
The ideal candidate should be passionate about testing and providing other technical support to software engineering team. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.

Key Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining software and hardware systems, providing

technical support, troubleshooting issues, and documenting procedures.

• Stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations
• Participating in new ASIC and hardware bring ups in simulation and on new hardware
• Debug/fix issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work

Preferred Experience

• Basic programming background, C/C++ preferred
• Experience with Windows, Linux and/or Android operating systems
• Basic knowledge of video CODEC standards H.264, HEVC, AV1
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills

Academic Credentials

• High school or college degree, or equivalent
