Manager, Data Analytics

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and improve financial performance across the organization. You will leverage your strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and business acumen to develop and maintain insightful reports, models, and analyses that empower leadership to make informed choices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Analysis and Reporting: Develop complex SQL and corresponding reports to support decision making that support the company's strategic objectives
  • Data Interpretation and Visualization: Break down complex business problems, source data that helps solve or model the problems, and visualize results in a clear and concise manner
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand their analytical needs, gather requirements, and deliver customized data-driven solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and analytical processes. Implement solutions that streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy.
  • Strategic Alignment: Conduct in-depth analyses to support strategic initiatives, assess market opportunities, and monitor competitive landscapes.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis and Project Management: Manage multiple analytical projects concurrently, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver timely results while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Model Development and Validation: Construct financial and statistical models using SQL and Excel to forecast future performance, simulate different business scenarios, and assess risk exposure.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a data analysis role within the finance industry or a related analytical field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with coding languages (e.g., Python, Java) for report automation and data manipulation is a plus.
  • Interested in or experience in applying data science algorithms (decision trees, neural nets, clustering, etc.) to business problems
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a passion for data and continuous learning.
  • Ability to lead and develop people
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of financial concepts, metrics, and reporting principles.
  • Experience with statistical modeling and forecasting techniques is a plus.
