Senior Front End Engineer

Cloud IB is a fast-growing startup aiming to revolutionize the investment banking industry by providing digital analytics tools to investment banks, consulting firms, investors and corporate clients around the world. We are based in Zurich, Switzerland, and Belgrade, Serbia, and are looking to expand our team.

We are hiring a Senior Front-end Engineer in Belgrade. The role involves taking ownership of our React Front-end application and related tasks. You will work with internal and external front-end engineering colleagues, and interact directly with senior management / founders (CTO and CEO) who have extensive experience at tier 1 investment banks in the U.S. and Europe. This is a great opportunity to take responsibility and participate in shaping technical and organizational processes in a startup.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Development of the UI / UX design for our suite of software products
  • Influence features and their implementation from requirements gathering to delivery; co-architecting the front-end systems and application landscape
  • Contribute with your ideas and initiatives as part of our agile environment
  • Continuously improve our technology stack and work processes
  • Participate in code reviews and team development
  • Desire to take ownership of the front-end development in terms of code, processes, and prioritization of features
REQUIREMENTS
  • Familiarity with major tools from the JavaScript ecosystem such as React, Redux or any major state management library, TailwindCSS, TypeScript
  • Interest in optimizing the already existing front-end CI / CD pipelines for production
  • Ability to turn design specs and templates into web applications. Familiarity with tools like Webflow, Figma
  • Ability to build appealing interfaces on your own or take part in deciding the design
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly, self-motivation, excellent communication skills and the ability to work responsibly in a dynamic international environment
  • This role is suitable for someone who also wants to work occasionally on BE (Python), however the main focus will be on the FE side
