Job Summary

The Front-End Software Engineer is a fully competent professional responsible for delivering complex software solutions by applying broad and deep knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and procedures. The role creates and documents architectures for large-scale front-end applications. They oversee the review of the implementation of applications following code standards and style guides. They set the workflows for their teams that ensure everyone uses the same tooling, having scalability, security, testability, accessibility, maintainability, and robustness as some of their main goals.

The candidate will collaborate with engineering teams across Europe, India, and the US. They will contribute to building a microservices architecture using Java, Spring, and React, deployed via Kubernetes in a cloud environment.

Principal Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement complex software systems and applications, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Apply broad technical expertise to solve advanced problems and deliver innovative solutions.
• Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and contribute to architectural planning sessions.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Associate, Junior, and Intermediate Software Engineers.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., product managers, QA, DevOps) to define and implement requirements.
• Take full ownership of projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and quality expectations.
• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend enhancements that may have a significant business impact.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, or frameworks to improve the development process.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for specific systems, components, or business areas.
• Provide recommendations that influence client deliverables or organizational decisions.

Position Requirements

• Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering or application development.
• Strong experience with API development (REST or GraphQL) and integration projects, with a focus on security and performance.
• Experience with configuration tools such as Git (GitHub), Webpack, Babel, NPM scripts, and Lerna.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, especially React.
• Familiarity with package managers such as npm and Yarn.
• Experience with libraries such as MUI, Styled Components, Apollo GraphQL, Jest, and React Testing Library.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability with secure coding practices and performance optimization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
