Committed to excellence, we are now seeking a talented and experienced QA Engineer to join our QA team to ensure product quality during the sabbatical of a permanent QA team member. The interim QA Automation Engineer will focus on hands-on automated E2E testing, actively contribute to our ongoing QA transformation (new Test SDK, higher automation, stricter coverage goals, process improvements), and help strengthen the role and self-image of QA within the squad.

Key responsbilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated end-to-end test cases using Cypress (TypeScript, Angular, Java environment)
• Extend and stabilize existing automated regression suites
• Work closely with developers, Product Owner, and Product Manager to derive test cases from requirements and acceptance criteria
• Ensure compliance with the Definition of Done and quality gates during the sprint
• Participate fully in squad ceremonies (Daily, Refinement, Review, Retrospective) as a regular team member
• Contribute to shaping QA practices in line with our ongoing quality transformation (automation-first, stricter coverage rules, improved processes)
• Actively exchange with the QA Guild and Quality Management Representative (QMB) to align on standards and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in Cypress for automated E2E testing
• Solid knowledge of TypeScript, Angular, and Java
• Proven track record in test automation within agile development teams
• Ability to quickly grasp complex business logic and translate it into effective test scenarios
• Efficient, self-driven working style

Nice to have

• Experience with API and integration testing
• Contribution to QA communities of practice / QA Guilds

Soft skills

• Highly efficient and delivery-oriented
• Communicative and confident in reinforcing the equal role of QA and Development within the squad
• Team player with strong remote collaboration skills
• Pragmatic, constructive mindset with the ability to support a positive QA culture
