Junior Software Developer – Business Solutions

Belgrade, Serbia (On-site position)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and solution-oriented Junior Software Developer who enjoys solving business problems through technology. The successful candidate will analyze processes, identify opportunities, collaborate with stakeholders, design improvements, and translate business needs into clean, scalable code. This role is ideal for someone who wants to understand why something is built, not just how, and see their work have a direct impact on core business operations.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, test, and implement business applications using .NET, C#, SQL Server, and Python
  • Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
  • Review functional business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Analyze processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose enhancements
  • Build scalable, maintainable code that addresses real business needs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with operational objectives
  • Debug and enhance existing applications, including optimizing performance and resolving issues
  • Work with APIs and gRPC to integrate and extend application functionality
  • Document processes, designs, and code to support team knowledge and future development

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field
  • 0–2 years of software development experience (internships, co-op, or academic projects welcome)
  • Foundational experience with .NET and C#; basic SQL skills (queries, joins, stored procedures)
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and exposure APIs and gRPC
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn both technical and business aspects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working in fast-moving or ambiguous environments

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Blazor or ASP.NET Core MVC
  • Experience in academic or internship projects involving system design, automation, or data integration
  • Interest in process optimization and business-driven technology solutions
