Senior Specialist for Accounting and Controlling

Location: Belgrade

Job Description:

Tax-related activities:

  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns via the SEF system
  • Preparation and submission of tax filings (withholding tax, personal income tax, property tax, gift and inheritance tax)
  • Monitoring and payment of local taxes and fees
  • Review of incoming and outgoing invoices
  • Preparation of tax balance sheets and data for transfer pricing documentation
  • Defining tax approaches in accordance with legal and business requirements

Controlling and Budgeting:

  • Participation in the preparation of annual and quarterly budgets
  • Collection and consolidation of financial data and cross-departmental analysis
  • Cooperation with budget owners and the finance team
  • Analysis of P&L statements, cost flows, and KPI indicators
  • Preparation of reports and presentations for management
  • Monitoring business processes and proposing improvements and new IT solutions (BPM, Power BI, etc.)
  • Advanced use of MS Excel for analysis, modeling, and reporting
  • Preparation of ad-hoc reports as requested by management

Requirements:

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in finance, accounting, or tax advisory – experience in the leasing sector or financial institutions is considered an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of tax regulations, particularly regarding corporate taxation, as well as accounting standards and financial reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Ability to communicate financial analysis clearly and precisely
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Experience with Query tools and Power BI is a plus
