On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Backend Engineer:

Level: medior

Location: Belgrade, Serbia

Model of work: fully remote/hybrid/ from office (it's your choice), 9-17h (but flexible work hours)

They have a wide range of services and one of them is brokering real-time information between service providers and end-users, empowering operators to conquer the iGaming world and suppliers to distribute their content efficiently.

They deliver innovative iGaming products such as content, bonus engine, CRM, platform and frontend applications.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Designing and maintaining of backend- and web applications as part of our cross-functional and agile international team

  • Ongoing exchange with different teams including design, frontend, requirements engineering and management

  • Taking ownership in incident management and quality assurance topics

  • Release & rollout management, deployment and rollout of software, services and database updates or upgrades

  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

  • Along with developing SQL databases and tools, write SQL queries to store, sort and retrieve data

  • Solving complex problems

  • Contributing to code quality by conducting code reviews and implementing guideline

  • Troubleshoot SQL and Server errors

  • Generating documentation

  • Develop web-services and applications using Golang, PHP

If you are someone who has:

Must:

  • Ability to read and write Golang 
  • Ability to write SQL queries and statements to explore source data and data issues
  • Skilled at optimizing complicated MySQL statements
  • APIs: REST (OpenAPI/Swagger), SOAP (WSDL), JSON/XML
  • Auth: OAuth2/OpenID, JWTs, API keys
  • Microservices: design, orchestration, event-driven (RabbitMQ)
  • CI/CD knowledge: Git workflows, Jenkins/GitLab CI/GitHub Actions, automated tests & deploys
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Clear docs & stakeholder communication, 
  • Analytical problem solving, team player

Nice to have:

  • Ability to read and write PHP 
  • Ability to understand JSON schema and openAPI
  • Experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka
  • Experience with Prometheus or Grafana
  • Deep understanding of network technologies and services
  • Usage of Kubernetes, Cloud Environment
