BI Analyst III

The Role

We are seeking a BI Analyst III to join our Advanced Analytics team and help deliver new value to customers and prospects by creating self service and ad hoc scalable big data analytics and reporting.  This role is essential in supporting new sales and operational cycles by providing high-quality insights through fully automated data workflows. You'll work closely with Analytics and Intelligence leadership, data architects, sales, product and engineering teams to determine what to build and how data is used internally and shared with customers.

• Build and maintain fully automated advanced analytics dashboards and reports for clients based on (a) the outcomes derived from our transaction monitoring in retail stores and (b) integration of customer and other 3rd party data.
• Conduct trend analysis and forecasting (e.g., alert patterns, usage growth, anomaly detection), at scale, for clients and across geographies and the portfolio.
• Present findings internally and externally, to clients; explaining reasoning, source of truth and reasons for reductions.
• Utilize storytelling techniques to create intuitive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations. Craft reports that effectively communicate insights derived from data analysis. Define and develop Power BI data models to facilitate the creation of informative and high-value dashboards.
• Ensure that data models are robust and capable of supporting complex analyses. Document best practices, data extraction methods, and data sources to foster knowledge sharing within the team. Identify areas for improving data reliability, performance, and quality.
• Propose and implement solutions to address identified issues and enhance overall data integrity.
• Understand the requirements of operations and sales groups and translate them into actionable insights.
• Work closely with the compliance team to ensure that data-related regulations and company policies are adhered to in all BI initiatives. Design reports and data processes with compliance considerations in mind to mitigate risks.
• Act as a mentor and moving to become a subject matter expert, sharing skills, knowledge, and expertise with earlier in career members of the BI analytics team.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning by organizing training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive effective roadmap prioritization aligned with company-wide goals and objectives. Implement processes and frameworks to facilitate roadmap prioritization and ensure alignment with business priorities and strategic initiatives. Monitor progress towards roadmap objectives and adjust priorities as needed to deliver results and meet organizational goals.

• Partnering with clients to understand requirements
• Working closely with Everseen's Operations and Sales teams. Liaising cross functionally with Product, Engineering and Research.
• Work with Everseen's compliance team to ensure regulations and company policies around data are met by design

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role is required. Ideally you will have a degree in a maths, science or engineering discipline.
• Possesses a structured and analytical mindset, with a natural inclination towards making sense of complex information.
• Ability to create visually appealing and insightful dashboards that effectively communicate key metrics and insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex data manipulation, analysis, and visualization. Ability to leverage Excel's features to perform in-depth analysis and generate actionable insights.
• Proficient in SQL and Python, with strong automation skills, including experience with querying databases and performing data manipulation tasks. Capability to write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data efficiently.
• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)including expertise in dashboard design, development, and administration. Grafana is a plus
• Solid understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data modeling
• Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, with Google Cloud a plus
• Experience with time-series data, sensor logs, and operational metrics
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple parallel data requests. Ability to approach data analysis systematically and derive meaningful conclusions from diverse datasets.
• Demonstrated interest in learning and a strong desire to expand knowledge in the field of BI analytics.
• Eagerness to explore new technologies, methodologies, and best practices to enhance BI analytics skills and capabilities.
