This role is crucial in ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of our high-availability database solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in Apache Ignite, distributed database management, and performance tuning.Key Responsibilities:Design & Architecture:Lead the design and architecture of distributed database systems using Apache Ignite. Develop high-availability and high-performance database solutions. Design data models and schemas optimized for performance and scalability. Database Administration:Install, configure, and manage Apache Ignite clusters. Perform routine database maintenance, upgrades, and patch management. Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning strategies. Ensure data security, integrity, and availability across all database environments. Development Support:Collaborate with development teams to design database solutions that meet application requirements. Provide support for database-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise. Develop and maintain database automation scripts for routine tasks. Optimization & Performance Tuning:Analyze and optimize database queries for performance improvements. Implement caching and indexing strategies to enhance database performance. Conduct capacity planning and estimate future database requirements. Documentation & Reporting:Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate regular reports on database performance, capacity, and health. Mentoring & Leadership:Mentor junior DBAs and provide guidance on best practices and advanced techniques. Lead and participate in technical discussions, contributing to team knowledge sharing. Qualifications:Education & Experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration and architecture. Extensive experience with Apache Ignite and/or GridGain, AWS. Proven track record of designing and managing large-scale distributed database systems. Technical Skills:In-depth knowledge of SQL, Java 11, Spring (Annotations-Based, Core/DI, Web/MVC, Boot, Profiles/Configurations). Familiarity with Maven (multimodules), Git, Angular (> v2, pref. v12), TypeScript, , npm. Proficiency in Linux, Docker, and distributed database technologies. Strong understanding of database design principles, indexing, and data modeling. Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting. Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
