Smile BI Devs is a fast-growing BI SaaS company based in Munich and Belgrade. It offers market insights on the booming e-pharmacy market for Pharma and Healthcare clients. Our sophisticated product - Smile Analytics - enables manufacturers to allocate their marketing budget more efficiently through price transparency and competitor marketing analysis.

Smile Analytics, our market-leading ecommerce analytics platform, is at the core of our success. Today, Smile BI is part of the Kaske Group in Germany, together with the marketing agency Dr. Kaske and the DTC white label provider Dr. Vital.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and user-friendly web applications that contribute to our suite of business intelligence solutions.

Your mission:

• Implementing UI Designs
  • Transforming design mockups into functional user interface using React, TS and MUI.
• Backend APIs and Integration
  • Creating and integrating backend APIs with frontend applications to enable seamless data exchange and functionality.
• Collaboration
  • Working closely with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver features effectively.
• Database Management
  • Working with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) to design schemas, write queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Code Refactoring and Quality Assurance
  • Refactoring code to enhance maintainability, conducting code reviews, and promoting best practices.
• Full Stack Architecture
  • Designing scalable and maintainable full stack applications, considering cross-platform compatibility and security.
• Security and Compliance
  • Ensuring both front-end and back-end security measures are implemented and adhering to industry standards.
• Innovation and Research
  • Evaluating emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies, recommending improvements, and fostering innovation.

Your profile:

• 6 years' experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
• Working experience with JS, HTML, CSS, Responsive design, HTTP Concepts, , Redux, and Git.
• Experience in creating and integrating backend APIs with React frontend, enabling seamless data exchange between frontend and backend.
• Proven experience designing and building scalable, maintainable backend architectures, ideally with with DDD, hexagonal architecture, event-driven architecture.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest and Playwright.
• Experience with integrating LLM solutions, RAG.
• Familiarity with one of UI libraries (e.g., MUI).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, GitHub Actions).
• Solution oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Efficient task and time management.
• Embracing continuous learning.
