Your Role & Responsibility

  • Lead and mentor a team of 5 Test Automation Engineers, fostering growth and continuous improvement.

  • Define and shape the future of Quality Assurance at bexio in collaboration with your peer lead.

  • Support a cross-functional domain team with all testing requirements, driving high-quality delivery.

  • Advocate for best practices in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, within your team and the broader organization.

  • Facilitate collaboration across remote teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication.

  • Drive the implementation and evolution of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.

Required Technical & Professional Expertise

  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading a small team, ideally within a remote or hybrid environment.

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with BDD and TDD frameworks (e.g., Gherkin/Cucumber).

  • Solid experience with REST API testing tools and technologies (e.g., Postman, Swagger, OpenAPI).

  • Proficiency in Java (JVM, Spring, Hibernate, Play) and scripting with Shell (bash/zsh).

  • Excellent communication skills in English (C1 level), with a reliable and self-driven work ethic.

  • Passion for Agile methodologies and a proven track record in Scrum environments.

Bonus skills & experience

  • Basic knowledge of German (A1 level).

  • Experience in fintech or accounting domains.

  • Familiarity with PHP and related frameworks (e.g., Symfony, Laravel).

  • Advanced expertise in Java and Shell scripting.
