About The Role
Our team is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our data & analytics team as individual contributors and help build & scale Rho's commercial banking technology.

The Data team builds data products and solutions for either internal stakeholders or customers directly, maintaining a strong data driven culture across the company. This includes building our data infrastructure, ingestion frameworks tools & data models in order to ensure high data integrity.

Technologies we use for data: Python, Snowflake, DBT, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus, Google Cloud Services, Looker, PowerBI

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain core data infrastructure and data platform framework.
  • Design, maintain and build data warehouse, pipelines and infrastructure to scale with our growth.
  • Conduct QA, monitoring and incident handling across data pipelines.
  • Work with the stakeholders to correct issues with current production data models and introduce revisions to improve models.
  • Work closely with business intelligence and analysts to help support business problems they're solving
  • Help with the establishment of a full-fledged data warehouse.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in similar data, software engineering, or devops roles.
  • Proficiency with workflow orchestrators such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
  • Experienced with major data warehouse platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or in-house HDFS-based solutions with query engine support.
  • Skilled in building data infrastructure using GCP, AWS, or comparable cloud providers.
  • Competent in managing and deploying services on Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Terraform or Pulumi for infrastructure automation.
  • Advanced programming abilities in Python, Go, or Java, along with strong SQL skills.
  • A track record of building and maintaining data pipelines and data models.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience building data platforms from scratch.
  • Experience with data modeling approaches eg. Inmon, Kimball, Data Vault, Data Mesh or any other.
  • Background in building streaming systems. Familiarity with Prometheus or any other TSDB utilized for monitoring.
  • BI tools experience.
