We're looking for a hands-on
Senior Software Architect

to join a team of software engineers and help lead a small team and partner directly with an important U.S. client. You'll take ownership of solution design and delivery, drive technical approaches, and keep projects moving—turning ambiguity into shipped, reliable software. What you'll do:

• Own end-to-end delivery: from discovery and architecture through implementation, testing, and release.
• Lead a small team of engineers: set standards, review code, mentor, unblock, and grow the team.
• Design scalable backends with
  ASP.NET
  Core, APIs (REST/GraphQL), and data layers (SQL).
• Build modern frontends with React and TypeScript with NextJS.
• Collaborate with U.S. stakeholders: clarify requirements, propose options, communicate trade-offs, and align on roadmaps.
• Raise the bar on quality: CI/CD, automated testing, performance, security, observability.
• Architecture: microservices/monolith-modular decisions, API contracts, integration patterns, cloud-native practices (preferably AWS).
• Drive execution: break down work, define milestones, track progress, and ensure timely, predictable releases.

Expectations for the role:

• 5+ years professional experience building production systems with C#/.NET and React/TypeScript.
• Ownership over titles: you drive outcomes, not just tickets.
• Proven experience leading projects or teams and owning solutions in partnership with external clients.
• Cooperation: clear, proactive updates to keep the client confident and unblocked.
• Pragmatic engineering: right abstractions, right time.
• Strong system design skills (domain modeling, API design, data modeling, scalability, reliability).
• Solid experience with
  ASP.NET
  Core, SQL (PostgreSQL), and React (NextJS).
• Comfortable across the stack: frontend build tools, Node-based tooling, API integration.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions; containerization with Docker; cloud native approaches (AWS preferred).
• High standards for code quality, testing (unit/integration/e2e), and documentation.
• Excellent communication in English and ability to overlap at least 4 hours with U.S. time zones.

Nice to have:

• AWS services, K8s basics, IaC basics.
• Event-driven architecture, messaging (e.g., SQS/SNS), and distributed systems know-how.
• Performance tuning, caching strategies, and production observability (Datadog).
• Experience in secure development (OWASP, secret management).

Salary range:

• Salary depends on your expertise, between 3,000e and 4,000e.

What can you expect from our selection process?

• HR meeting

• In the first interview, we aim to familiarize you with CyberLab Solutions, our projects, and objectives. We're also eager to learn more about you, your background, and your career aspirations. The interview will be held online.

• Technical interview

• The next step is a technical interview with our Dev Lead. During the 90-minute interview, you'll get the chance to introduce yourself, discuss different technologies and your expertise, and demonstrate your skills by completing a task. Also, you'll learn more about this specific project. The interview will take place in our office, in Novi Sad.

• Selection process with the client

• In the final stage, you'll meet directly with our client. This interview is an opportunity to present yourself, your experience, and technical knowledge in the context of the project you would be working on. You'll also gain insight into the client's expectations, team dynamics, and project goals. The conversation will be held online.
