Core Responsibilities

  • Take technical and financial responsibility for multiple projects – act as 'Project Director' as defined by Whitby Wood
  • Line Manage multiple staff members and be responsible for PDRs
  • Participate in all senior management team activities (Management Meeting, Business Transformation, Business Development, JMS/Invoicing)
  • Lead and be responsible for proposals for new projects
  • Act as an ambassador for Whitby Wood to external clients
  • Ensure that sustainability is at the heart of all work. Carry out the Whitby Wood Environmental Mission Statement.
  • Ensure that team members are comparing structural options and materials and undertaking carbon calculations to help find the lowest carbon solutions and try to reduce the environmental impact of projects.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 10+ years' experience
  • Have a minimum 2:1 (hons) degree (or equivalent) in a suitable engineering discipline
  • Chartered with ICE or IstructE or equivalent accreditation
  • A portfolio of built projects
