What You'll Do

• Contribute to the integration of SAP's AI capabilities into existing applications and services.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective AI solutions.
• Design and implement backend services that support AI functionality using Java and related technologies.
• Work closely with data scientists and machine learning engineers to deploy AI models into production environments.
• Optimize performance and scalability of AI components and APIs.
• Ensure AI solutions follow best practices for maintainability, security, and observability.
• Stay informed about current AI trends and research to continuously improve our technical approach.
• Participate in agile development processes, including code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in backend development, ideally in Java.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and OOP practices.
• Familiarity with deploying or integrating AI models into production environments.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Nice To Have

• Experience with SAP's AI portfolio or Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Familiarity with cloud services and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Exposure to ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn).
• Understanding of OAuth2, SAML, and enterprise-grade security.
• Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
