Role Overview

The Electronic Components Engineer will serve as the technical backbone of Telcona's component distribution and engineering support activities. This role bridges technical expertise and customer-facing engineering support, ensuring that our product portfolio meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and innovation.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering with strong foundations in electronics and component applications, and will thrive in a dynamic environment where engineering, product management, and supplier/customer interactions converge.

Key Responsibilities

As part of your daily work, your main responsibilities include:

• Provide technical expertise for electronic components from our products portfolio: frequency-control components, acoustic components, connectors, relays, batteries, electromechanical parts, LEDs, etc.
• Evaluate customer requirements, prepare technical proposals, and recommend optimal components.
• Assist in design-in of products for automotive, industrial, medical, IoT smart home, communication, access control, embedded, power-energy, and safety critical applications.
• Familiarity with international standards for various components, including automotive standard AEC-Q200, REACH, RoHS, Conflict Mineral Policy, etc.
• Act as technical contact point between suppliers and customers.
• Participate in negotiations by evaluating product quality, life cycle, and compliance standards.
• Support introduction of new product families and maintain knowledge of latest technological trends.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (Electronics, Telecommunications, Power Systems, or related fields).
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in the field.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken); German or another European language is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuit fundamentals, and measurement techniques.
• Familiarity with frequency-control devices, acoustic parts, and energy storage components.

• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Strong technical communication – able to explain engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams (sales, procurement, logistics).
• Willingness to travel for customer visits, supplier audits, and trade fairs.
