Role Overview

Junior level opportunity for a professionally qualified (CFA, ACA preferred) financial professional to join a growing Capital Solutions team, servicing a broad range of clients in the structuring of debt, equity, and hybrid capital, ranging from corporates, sponsors, UHNWs and family-owned businesses. Our team provides tailored financing solutions, helping clients optimise their capital structure and access diverse funding sources.

The successful candidate will play a key role in executing on mandates and managing transaction processes. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is seeking exposure to complex capital structures, lender/investor negotiations, and strategic work.

Specific Responsibilities

• Building Memoranda on Investment Opportunities: preparing comprehensive deal material that articulate a transaction
• Develop financial models: build from scratch detailed and dynamic financial models
• Conduct financial analysis: perform in-depth analysis of historical and projected financials, liquidity, and capital structure to support strategic recommendations
• Manage workstreams: track progress across multiple transaction workstreams, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones and coordination among stakeholders
• Lender/investor Q&A and due diligence: oversee ongoing Q&A processes with lenders and investors, managing and setting up data rooms, NDA management and facilitate due diligence reviews
• Stakeholder management: managing relationships with client teams, internal Saranac teams and third-party lenders/investors/professional service providers

Skills and Attributes Required:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS Office
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong financial modelling skills and capital structure concepts
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to both work independently/take the initiative and collaboratively within a team
• The ability to multi-task and prioritise multiple assignments in an agile team. Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
• Ability to write coherently with business tone
• Strong client presentation skills

Qualifications:

• ACA qualified and equivalent degree level (2:1 minimum)
• 3-4 years of experience working in the Big 4/Top 10 accounting firms, corporate finance boutique, investment banking, commercial/corporate banking, debt advisory, consulting or similar institutions
• Right to work in the UK
