THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our Central Engineering team and drive innovation in search and retrieval technologies. In this role, you'll design and deliver scalable solutions that transform how users access and interact with information across multiple domains and platforms within AMD. 

THE PERSON:

The individual is expected to work independently yet collaboratively, be self-motivated, task-oriented, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are detail-oriented; you plan, implement, and evaluate work, and strive to improve with every iteration. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex data sets and derive actionable insights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, build, and optimize search and retrieval pipelines for large-scale internal knowledge bases.
  • Develop and fine-tune LLM-powered ranking, summarization, and query understanding models.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and data teams to ensure high performance, low latency, and accuracy in responses.
  • Experiment with advanced RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), semantic search techniques, and MCP tool orchestration to improve user outcomes.
  • Contribute to internal APIs and orchestration systems for multi-source knowledge retrieval.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years of combined experience in full-stack development.
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD best practices.
  • Experience in backend development using C#/.NET.
  • Experience with React and/or Angular.
  • Experience with scripting (e.g., Python).
  • Experience with LLMs and information retrieval systems/search.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, ML, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
