Senior Java Software Engineer

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead design and implementation of scalable, high-performance web applications and APIs
  • Serve as principal contributor to technical feasibility studies, business cases and proposals
  • Define, enforce, and continuously improve development standards and best practices
  • Mentor and support software engineers to foster their growth and technical excellence
  • Participate actively in all phases of the software development process, ensuring quality and timely delivery

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer
    Science (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing Java web technologies
  • Proficiency with Java frameworks such as JEE, Spring, JPA, Hibernate, Maven, …
  • Proven expertise designing and implementing highly available, scalable and service-oriented platforms

Industry experience with microservices architectures

  • Good interpersonal, communication and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

What else is a plus?

  • Experience implementing SSO solutions using OpenID Connect/SAML or similar protocols
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and Kubernetes
  • Experience in setting CI/CD pipelines
  • A passion for writing clean, efficient and maintainable code
