Job Description:

Sperasoft is seeking an experienced Landscape Artist to join a AAA+ project. Passionate about biomes, terrain sculpting, and material creation, you'll be part of a collaborative team pushing quality to the next level.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating realistic landscapes using UE5's sculpting tools
  • Designing and implementing biomes with rocks, decals, roads, embankments, and natural elements
  • Building layered landscape materials within Unreal shader system
  • Developing high-quality materials in Quixel Mixer or Substance Designer
  • Utilizing procedural tools like PCG or Houdini for efficient placement of grass, trees, rocks, and other natural assets
  • Ensuring performance-friendly, visually compelling landscapes aligned with art direction
  • Collaborating with design, lighting, and technical teams to maintain quality and consistency
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of 3D software (Blender/Maya/3Ds Max)
  • UE 5 and Perforce expertise
  • Basic knowledge of unreal engine grass types, landscape tools, foliage tools, and splines
  • Experience creating various biomes excluding foliage
  • Familiarity with unreal engine layered shader system
  • Material creation skills in Quixel Mixer and Substance Designer a plus
  • Knowledge of Houdini plugin for Unreal Engine beneficial
