Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Computer Vision / Machine Learning Engineer, initially based in Serbia with the option later to transfer to the US. You will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced CV/ML algorithms for a large variety of CV tasks, both based on traditional methods and cutting-edge Vision-Language Models.

The Ideal Candidate

You are a hands-on scientist who thrives on solving inherently hard problems. Chasing academic publications by applying some ad-hoc trick to improve mediocre accuracy by a few percent was never enough for you. You want to solve problems that require consistently high accuracy, even when presented with petabytes of real-world data. You understand modern Transformer/LLM/VLM architectures and how to apply them in efficient ways, but you also understand why they cannot solve all problems and why completely novel methods are sometimes required. You appreciate that real-world sensor data is never clean, and you have developed techniques that harness multi-sensor fusion to work around messy data (ideally in the automotive domain).

Basic Qualifications

* Proven record of solving real-world 2D & 3D CV problems, in academia and industry

* Expert software development skills, with multiple years of industry experience in building production-quality software

* Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English

* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

* Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field
