Newgen EMEA operates a hybrid culture in our London and Manchester offices, as we understand the value of both home and in-office working. We expect office attendance at least 3 days per week with Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday being mandatory, as we believe it strikes the right balance between quiet focused work, teamwork, collaboration and a healthy company culture.

The role:
We're looking for an outstanding social creative director to help lead the campaign department whilst the current ECD is on maternity leave and on her return reporting into her as together you help grow the department. Newgen prides itself on being the future of social creativity and this role will be brought on to carry the torch in best in class creative output. They must understand and believe that brands no longer can just turn up in traditional mediums, but instead grow their brand from communities up. With a tireless pursuit to showcase what the new 'best in class' looks like, this social first Creative Director must be a highly passionate creative, whose second language is the ins and outs of social and creator first whilst also truly understanding the bigger brand picture.
This senior hire will be given the autonomy to lead creative projects and client presentations and will be responsible for creating showcase campaigns for the agency. As mentioned, this hire will be in charge of steering the department in the absence of the ECD on mat leave and provide the team with the support and guidance to shape their campaigns.
Beyond brand campaign work, this role will liaise with the content team and ensure the overall ambition and quality of our organic output.
The creative team provides itself with its collaborative culture and supportive ways of working and we're looking for an individual who shares the same ethos. This successful candidate will be enthused to be part of a bigger mission and upward trajectory.
This individual would have at least 8 years of experience within a creative agency and an inspiring creative portfolio showcasing previous conceptualized and delivered campaigns for big brands.
NewGen operates under a hybrid working model within a minimum of three days expected in the office (or on shoots). At times, more in person days may be required in order to deliver the work and/or pitches.
Requirements:
- Conceptualize and lead social first campaigns that deliver best in class creativity for our clients and created to transcend platforms
- Work with the editorial social team on executing campaign creative for peak optimisation across channels
- Help educate and upskill more junior team members on the development of campaign creative
- Work with the studio, design and production team to execute campaigns at the highest standard.
- Present to clients and sell in creative work that is both on brand for our clients but also positively challenges
- Bring a positive and proactive energy to the team and help inspire the agency creatively
- Hold creative workshop sessions with the wider agency to help our creative culture breed through the agency
- At least 8 years of creative agency experience
- An impressive portfolio of social-first work
- Ideally, this candidate also showcases strong understanding of brand and is confident in leading platform work too.
- Manage and support the current creative team and support them in their growth
